Re: Age 8-Session 1-LP#1 - Why are Family Devotions so hard?
During our 1/8/17 class, we discussed several roadblocks:
getting both mom and dad "on program" together,
busy schedules especially those of our kids,
short attention spans,
What are some of the roadblocks to family devotions in your home?

My work schedule is definitely one big roadblock when trying to be consistent with devotions since I work nights and only have two chances a week for the bedtime routine. I'm fortunate that when I'm not home Katie can do it and when I am there she takes care of putting the baby to sleep and gives me time with the older kids. I have a ton of respect for those of you who are doing this on your own.

For me it's time. Our schedules are different everyday of the week. I would love to be more consistent with a specific time to carve out for devotions. With work schedules, activity schedules we are never in one place at the same time or ever around at the same time everyday.

Here's a flop, the other day we had family time and played Bible Taboo which started out well, but then the baby knocked over my drink and soaked all the cards:) not too big of a deal but it's kind of hard to play a card game with mushy cards. All my fault lol.
But just a FYI in case anybody is looking for ideas
I was looking for ideas for some devotions and found the "Family Devotions" section of this forum and there are tons of great ideas on there that lead you step by step through cool ideas much like the Faith Legacy videos are trying to do.
